INSPIRATION

“KARNATAKA VISHWAKARMA ASSOCIATION”, Mumbai was formed with an objective to foster a spirit of brotherhood and self-help among the members of the Vishwakarma community. It was formed for the benefit of the people who hail from Karnataka and also to create a cultural bonding within the members and to help the needy people in the areas like educational support, medical help etc.

FORMATION

The KVA Mumbai started its activities from 29/3, Marwadi Building, 3rd Floor, V.P. Road, Girgaon, Bombay 400 004 with the following members.

Dr. M N Acharya and Shri Ullal Purushottam joined the Association in 1950 and gave a new lease of life to it.

Subsequently the KVA Mumbai moved into its own premises at flat No. D/9, Daswani Apartments, Four Bunglows Road, Azad Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400053 in the year 1974 for the active functioning and organising of events and social activities.

KVA Mumbai has also formed sub-committees like Education & Social Welfare committee, Ladies Wing (Mahila Vibhaga) and Youth Wing (Yuva Vibhaga) to facilitate in organising and conducting all events and activities of KVA. The KVA Mumbai has an administrative office at “Priya” Shree Vishwakarma Bhavana, Kashimira, Mira road (East),Thane District.
